Morning Session ofAida freediving course UK : Freediving Theory and Pool Training

Begin your day by mastering the fundamentals of freediving theory and proper breathing techniques. The morning session includes a comprehensive pool training that lasts a few hours and covers:

• Static breath-holding
• Rescue techniques
• Dynamic apnea

Afternoon Session: Open Water Training

In the afternoon, shift your focus to open water theory and relaxation training. This session includes:

• Perfecting diving techniques using a float with a line
• Conducting free immersion dives
• Mastering depth buddy and rescue procedures

Delphy Pool: Style and Efficiency Training

At Delphy Pool, our primary objectives are to refine your style and prioritize efficient movement and form. Our dedicated efforts ensure you achieve the highest level of performance in your freediving skills.

Day Two: Advanced Open Water Freediving

On your second day as a freediver, you’ll explore the complexities of open water diving and learn how to navigate various depths. Safety is our priority, so we use dive lines and lanyards during our dives. Emphasis is placed on maintaining proper posture and achieving relaxation in deep diving scenarios.

Whether we dive from a boat charter (weather permitting), the shoreline, or a private quarry (in inclement weather), our goal is to provide top-notch instruction and thrilling diving experiences. After free immersion dives, we’ll focus on constant weight dives to meet the course’s depth requirements.

The examination can take place at the end of either day one or day two, so come prepared and review your notes beforehand. If you need additional training, consider our AIDA 1-2 extended course for a potential third day of instruction.

Course Fee: £325

The course package includes pool hire, training, certification, and equipment. If you have your own wetsuit, we recommend bringing it for a potentially better fit, although we provide them free of charge.

Requirements:

• Participants must be over 16 years old.
• Must be capable of swimming 200m unaided.
• Completion of a self-declaration medical form is required (available upon request prior to booking).

Course Details:

• All courses are conducted in small groups to ensure optimal safety and teaching quality, with a maximum instructor-to-student ratio of 1:4.
• Courses start and end in Bodmin, Cornwall.
• Daily sessions run from 9:30 am to approximately 4-6 pm.
• Boat dives are available for an additional charge of £35-£45, subject to weather and tide conditions.

What to Bring:

• Old shoes or flip-flops for walking at dive sites.
